Frescamar Alimentación launches its Organic range “Frescamar Bio”

As a result of an exhaustive work developed by the company’s Quality and R + D + I +I Departments, Frescamar Alimentación launched its organic fish range in September 2016.

The new line, under the name “Frescamar Bio”, turned the company into the only Spanish producer to offer Organic Sea Bream and Sea Bass raised in open sea.

Attention to quality and food security, and a strong commitment to the health of the fish are inherent in all Frescamar products, but moreover aspects related to animal welfare are even intensified in this new range.

Marine farming centers dedicated to Frescamar Bio species offer, for example, lower density of fishes per cage.

But the most differentiating aspects come from the hand of its organic character: they have ecological certification from the fingerlings to the final product and the feed used for their feeding is free of meat flours and genetically modified organisms, among others.

Additionally, all vegetables that are part of the elaboration of these feeds come solely from organic farming and contain fishmeal from only certified as sustainable fish.

Frescamar Bio products comply with all regulatory requirements related to Organic production in the European area as well as with those required by the Committee of Ecological Agriculture of the Valencian Community (CAECV), where their farming centers are located.
